OKLAHOMA CITY (May 2, 2025) — Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC) (“Paycom”), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, presented a $50,000 check to Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) Foundation today as part of a two-year commitment to the school district.
A portion of Paycom’s donation will fund projects posted by OKCPS teachers on the DonorsChoose platform, directly supporting their efforts to acquire educational materials and resources for their classrooms and students.
“Paycom is committed to supporting local communities, and our partnership with the OKCPS Foundation is a key part of that effort,” said Lacey Lett, supervisor of public relations at Paycom and OKCPS alumna. “As the state’s largest school district, OKCPS serves students from all backgrounds, and we’re proud to help provide them with the resources they need to succeed.”
One example of the impact of this support is Jennifer Reyes-Garcia, a fourth-grade teacher and 2024 OKCPS Teacher of the Year. Through donors like Paycom, she has successfully funded over 150 projects since 2023, focused on providing essentials to her students.
“When I’m asked what public school students need, I immediately go to their basic needs,” said Reyes-Garcia. “So many of my students are truly living without the daily resources many of us take for granted.”
OKCPS Foundation focuses on developing and supporting programs to improve education for Oklahoma children and connect vital community resources to the needs of students and teachers. Over 91% of students at OKCPS schools are economically disadvantaged, including 8.6% of students who experienced homelessness during the 2023-2024 school year.
“Strong public schools are the best investment we can make in our future. The OKCPS Foundation is proud to serve more than 33,000 students and educators across OKCPS thanks to the generous support of our partners,” said Kendra Horn, president and CEO of OKCPS Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful for Paycom, whose ongoing investment ensures we can provide much-needed programming and resources.”
Paycom’s donation will also support OKCPS Foundation’s Teacher Pipeline Program, which provides free education for future teachers and administrators, and its ReadOKC program, which improves literacy and cultivates a love of reading.
Paycom is committed to giving back to local communities through volunteerism and charitable giving. This includes efforts supporting youth programming, mental health treatment and programs for individuals with disabilities.
