Paycom employees give $30,000 to Oklahoma City’s Maisha Project

Funding supports international organization working locally to empower and transform communities

OKLAHOMA CITY  (March 28, 2023) – Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of HR software, presented a $30,000 check to Maisha Project, an international organization with headquarters in Oklahoma City dedicated to working with abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable children in the rural villages of Kenya. The funds will support Maisha Project’s areas of greatest need, including health, education and economic empowerment initiatives.

“On behalf of Maisha Project, I wish to sincerely thank Paycom for their faithful giving and generosity towards our organization, in what has been an extremely tough time for the world and for our Maisha kids. This will be the fourth year that Paycom has given a generous donation to Maisha. Their support has helped provide lifesaving food to hungry and struggling families during what’s being called ‘the worst hunger crisis of a generation,’ and has also improved the quality of education at our Maisha Academy,” said Beatrice Williamson, executive director at Maisha Project.

Williamson said this specific donation will be used to develop innovation, skill development and vocational and empowerment training to provide the Life Skills Program for graduates through Maisha Career Tech.

Maisha Project strives to break generational poverty by concentrating efforts toward youth and the next generation of rising community leaders. By providing wellness and educational resources, the nonprofit transforms lives as they help implement lasting solutions to address poverty, hunger, disease and lack of education. Sustainability is at the center of Maisha Project’s initiatives as they aim to empower people to transform their community.

The donation is part of an ongoing giving campaign in which Paycom employees select an organization they wish to support from a variety of local and national causes.

“Funding wellness and education both locally and globally is so important,” said Farooq Altaf, IT business analyst and Chair of the AAPI Employee Resource Group at Paycom. “We are excited and honored to play a role in the work Maisha Project does to save lives around the world. They’re providing critical resources for the planet’s youth and shaping a better future for all.”
