Paycom employees donate $50,000 to Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center

Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, raised $50,000 for Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center through its monthly employee giving program. The donation comes almost three years after Paycom employees helped fund its construction.

“As the executive sponsor for the BLACK Employee Resource Group at Paycom, I feel empowered working for a company that supports heritage and education,” said Rachel Moore, manager of talent acquisition at Paycom. “Greenwood Rising provides people with access to unique and valuable knowledge, and I’m proud of our employees for donating toward their programming.”

Greenwood Rising tells the story of Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District and memorializes the victims and survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre through an immersive educational experience. Visitors learn about the Greenwood District and long-term effects of historical racial trauma to inspire them to work toward social justice and racial reconciliation.

“Greenwood Rising is grateful for the continued support from Paycom employees,” said Raymond Doswell, executive director of Greenwood Rising. “Their support helps sustain our education efforts to teach America’s hard racial history, and we salute Paycom for all its efforts to create a better Oklahoma.”

In 2021, Paycom employees donated $50,000 to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission to help with the construction of Greenwood Rising. Since its opening on Aug. 4, 2021, the History Center has seen approximately 90,000 visitors from all over the world.

Paycom’s employee giving program allows team members to donate to local and national causes that ensure all basic needs in the community are met. Each month, employees donate to nonprofits that offer youth programming, programs for individuals living with disabilities, mental health treatment, and food support for individuals and children needing assistance.
