What’s it like to help business leaders solve their most pressing challenges every day? We sat down with Drew, an Executive Client Success Manager (internally known as Paycom Specialist) in our Oklahoma City office, to find out.
In my two years at Paycom, I’ve had the opportunity to launch my career in tech, meet amazing co-workers and connect with clients who have become friends. Here’s what I enjoy most.
Connecting and problem-solving
I first discovered Paycom through my love for tech and automation. When looking for a role after college, Paycom’s HR tech seemed intriguing. Now I get to help our clients make the most of the tech I was so impressed with when I started.
The most rewarding days for me are the ones when I introduce a client to the power of automation. I love helping our clients use Paycom’s technology to drive their businesses forward. We’re growing together, and I know I am making a difference in helping our clients become more efficient and create a better employee experience.
People sometimes ask how I build such strong client relationships, and I tell them it’s because I am very intentional about it. Every client touch point is a chance to help make someone’s day better.
Growing skills, transforming businesses
My goal is to build a trusting relationship with clients, and that requires frequent communication. As someone who loves people and talking to others, this part of my role comes naturally to me. I want to ensure each client takes advantage of our software’s full functionality.
Here at Paycom, I have been able to advance my communication and collaboration skills by helping businesses nationwide take advantage of automation. Whenever my phone rings, I jump at the chance to answer client questions and provide world-class service. When there’s a question, people want a fast solution, and I am honored to provide that.
Paycom also offers early-career opportunities you don’t find everywhere. For example, I recently had the opportunity to mentor a fellow Paycom team member who had just joined my department. I truly enjoyed sharing what’s worked for me and helping my mentee grow in her career.
A campus rich in community
One of my favorite things about our culture at Paycom is that we win together and give back together, too. We have several lunchtime sports and fitness activities you can participate in, as well as charitable opportunities.
I especially love our on-site fitness center. One of my favorite experiences so far has been participating in Burpees for Vets, a national fitness challenge for veterans that Paycom raised $150,000 for in 2025. In addition to supporting this worthy cause, it helped me meet people across campus who were outside of my immediate circle and department. I also regularly play indoor soccer at our fitness center, where I have met over 50 people in the organization that I had never worked with previously.
Perks are just the beginning
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the $1-per-pay-period health insurance, an amazing benefit of working at Paycom. We also enjoy subsidized, catered $4 lunches — including favorites from local chain restaurants. And our 401(k) match is helping me save for my future.
In a world with so much remote work, it’s also unique to be on-site with so many talented people each day. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to work with everyone on this campus. I walk around and never see the same faces, so there’s always an opportunity to meet someone new with whom I can collaborate.
